is located in the town of Greenville in the north of Greene County, bordered on the north by Albany County to the east by the Towns of New Baltimore and Coxsackie to the south by the town of Cairo to the west by the Town of Durham.

According to the U. S. Census for 2000, the town has a total area of 39.1 sq mi square miles and a population of 3,316 people, 97% white. The median income for a household in the town was $38,423. The per capita income for the town was $19,113.

The area of the town was first settled around 1774. The town was established in 1803 as the “Town of Greenfield” from the Towns of Coxsackie and Durham. It briefly changed its name to “Freehold” and assumed the name “Greenville” in 1808.

It is a beautiful area with a mix of second home owners and commuters into the Albany Capital District. Greenville offers gorgeous views of the Catskill Mountains to the south, a rural environment for residents and businesses, good schools with wonderful parks and friendly neighbors.

There is plenty of recreation year round in our area with close proximity to Windham and Hunter Mountain ski resorts and bragging rights to three golf courses in our own backyard.

Greenville school district consistently ranks among the best in Greene County and surrounding areas. Vanderbilt Park in Greenville offers walking trails and sports fields for young and old alike. And Greenville is an easy commute to Albany.

Westerlo Greenville New Home

is located in the Town of Westerlo  in the south central part of Albany County, bordered to the north by the Town of Berne to the northeast by the Town of New Scotland to the east by the Town of Coeymans, to the south by the County of Greene and to the west by the Town of Rensselaerville.

According to the U. S. Census for 2000, the town has a total area of 58.5 square miles and a population of 3,466 people, 98% white. The median income for a household is $48,488 and the per capita income for the town is $21,000.

Westerlo was formed from parts of the Towns of Coeymans and Rensselaerville in 1815. It is named after Rev. Eilardus Westerlo (1738–1790), who was minister of the Reformed Protestant Dutch Church (now called The First Church) in Albany, NY, from 1760 to 1790.

Nestled in the Helderberg Mountains in Albany County, the Town of Westerlo was organized in April of 1815 and now has a population of approximately 3600 people. Westerlo, New York recently celebrated 20 years of friendship.
